The Government has made funding available to support international recruitment into the adult social care sector during the 2023-24 financial year. In the South East region, this fund scheme will be used to distribute grants of £1,500 to help CQC registered providers recruit internationally.

Grants are being distributed via the following four hubs, run by the Care Associations within their respective areas. Providers must apply to the correct hub:

Any provider wishing to apply for a grant should first check that they meet the scheme eligibility criteria: South East Region International Recruitment Grant Scheme – Grant Conditions

Providers are encouraged to apply as soon as they are ready to do so as funding will be distributed on a first-come-first-served basis. Successful providers will be allocated a £1,500 grant to their application. This grant will only be issued upon the submission of a claim, with supporting evidence, between 1st April 2023 and 15th March 2024.

We have seen many providers using this as an opportunity to obtain their Sponsor License. The Borderless platform streamlines every aspect of international hiring and sponsorship, for both overseas and in-country candidates. This includes enabling providers to get their Sponsor License fast and efficiently, and at a fraction of the cost of alternative solutions.
